Grootvadersbosch Campsite Upgrade

The decked campsite upgrade at Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve transforms a steep, terraced site next to an indigenous forest into a vibrant and functional outdoor retreat. The project involved enlarging and configuring nine campsites, each designed to accommodate 4 to 6 people, by creating timber decked platforms that extend over the narrow terraces. These platforms allow for a more spacious and comfortable camping experience while minimizing environmental disruption. The design draws inspiration from the surrounding natural environment, with timber pole cross-bracing that references local bird hides.
