Our office is experienced in all stages of a project’s development from conceptual design to completed construction. Gustav Roberts
Director
Gustav is a professional architect and the Founding Director of SALT Architects. He earned his Master’s in Architecture from the University of the Free State in 2008 and has since gained sixteen years of professional experience in public, residential and commercial architecture. His career began in Windhoek, where he worked for notable architects Jaco Wasserfall and Paul Munting on award-winning projects. In 2015, he founded SALT Architects, where he continues to co-lead the practice in crafting meaningful architecture. Gustav holds a M.Arch (Prof) degree from the University of the Free State, and is registered as Professional Architect at both the South African (PrArch 21288) and Namibian (496) national councils for architects.

Jan-Dirk is a Director of SALT Architects and professional architect with twelve years of experience in commercial, residential and public architecture. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of the Free State. Prior to joining SALT Architects as director in 2017, he worked on numerous acclaimed projects, including a seriesf high-end lodges for the Singita Group during his tenure at GAPP Architects & Urban Designers. At SALT, he co-leads the practice in crafting meaningful and contextually responsive architecture. Jan-Dirk has a M.Arch (Prof) degree from the University of the Free State, and a BA Psych/Comm degree from North West University. He is registered at the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (PrArch 24751018).
